The Gift of GivingJesus is our supreme example; He is the Gift as well as the Giver. The message of the cross is the gospel, and the gospel is a total game changer, spiritually and socially.
We encourage everyone to experience the gift of giving and pay it forward... John 3:16, Acts 20:35, James 2:14-17, Matthew 25:14-17 |
Why We Give
|
Genuine Christian faith is demonstrated by what we do, not just what we say.
What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don’t show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone? Suppose you see a brother or sister who has no food or clothing, and you say, “Good-bye and have a good day; stay warm and eat well”—but then you don’t give that person any food or clothing. What good does that do? So you see, faith by itself isn’t enough. Unless it produces good deeds, it is dead and useless. James 2:14-17 |
What We GiveHow We Give
We're Blessed to Give
|
Something is better than nothing, take the time to make a difference. There is so much need in the world, no one group, organization, charity or church can meet the need; but everyone can do something no matter how small to make a difference. We believe it is important that everyone give what they can. Help us to reach more needy people. You'd be Surprised what a dollar could do for those who have nothing.
We collect clothes, toiletries and canned food for care boxes for needy people in the community. Individually and collectively as a church we support various charitable causes such as World Vision, Save the Children, Water 4 Life, IFCJ and many more... We encourage our youth to get involved and supply volunteers for Young Street Mission, Scott's Mission, Covenant House, CAMH and nursing home visits. It is more blessed to give than to receive.
Remember this—a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop. You must each decide in your heart how much to give. And don’t give reluctantly or in response to pressure. “For God loves a person who gives cheerfully.” And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others. (2 Corinthians 9:6–9). |
